VIRTUS Training
Anyone over the age of 18 years of age that will be volunteering within any St. Peter ministry or program of the Catholic Diocese of Wichita that has minor children participating must have completed VIRTUS training conducted by a VIRTUS certified facilitator. Training sessions are offered at a variety of locations that can be accessed at www.virtus.org and follow the directions for “First Time Registrant” and “View List of Sessions.” For organizations, please select “Wichita, KS (Diocese)” to view the list of all upcoming sessions in English or Spanish.

Protecting God's Children: Understanding, Reporting and Preventing Child Abuse
Our diocese, with the direction and support of Bishop Carl A. Kemme, has developed programs to create a safe environment for children. All priests and staff, as well as all volunteers who have regular contact with children, are required to comply with these programs.
