About
At the two locations in Wichita, an evening meal is served to those in need 365 days a year. Our assigned work nights are the fourth Monday (Hillside location) and fourth Thursday (Downtown location) of each month. VIRTUS training and a food handler’s card (no update needed) is required in order to volunteer. Volunteers help prepare, serve meals and clean up. Children 12 years and older may volunteer if working the same shift as their parent(s).
The daytime preparation shift is from 11:00am to approximately 1:00pm -- this is a great shift if you don't like to drive at night.
The evening shift is from 5:15pm to 7:30pm -- doors open at 5:30pm.
The Lord’s Diner also provides three food trucks that go to three different locations Monday through Friday, 4:00-6:00pm.
