How can I become a Catholic? So glad that you asked! The R.C.I.A.  is the normal way for unbaptized persons and those who have been baptized in another Christian tradition to become a Catholic. R.C.IA. is also a great opportunity for you to learn more about the Catholic Church if you simply have questions. May God who has begun this good work in you bring it to completion, Amen!

The letters R.C.I.A. stand for the "Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults."  The R.C.I.A. describes a process by which adults of diverse faith backgrounds are guided and cared for as they journey towards full initiation into a Catholic way of life. The R.C.I.A. process consists of four periods of awakening, growth, and formation marked by celebration of three major rites involving the entire St. Peter Apostle community.
