A Better Choice is a a Catholic Crisis Pregnancy Center that helps young women who are facing the possibility of an unexpected pregnancy offering free pregnancy tests, crisis phone counseling, sonograms, information and benevolence assistance. To some of the 260 young women who come to ABC each month our voice is the only time they hear a message of unconditional love and support. Volunteering can be through direct contact with the young women we help or in other areas. There is plenty of God’s work to be done. Help is also needed with scrapbooking events, paper product drives, baby showers, pro-life garage sales, cabinet building, lawn mowing or maintaining the flowers in the prayer garden. If I haven’t mentioned something that interests you, please tell me your ideas. You let us know how often and when you can help. Maybe it’s weekly, monthly or once in a blue moon. That’s OK! We love our volunteers.

The Parish Outreach ministry acknowledges family events such as births, illnesses, and loss of loved ones. The Bereavement ministry provides comfort, offers support and reaches out to fellow parishioners who are experiencing the death of a loved one.
St. Vincent DePaul Society is a silent work of love where men and women seek their personal holiness by works of charity. SVDPS offers tangible assistance to parishioners and families both in and out of the parish boundaries on a person-to-person basis. This aid may take the form of intervention, consultation or often through direct dollar or in-kind service. The society meets twice a month. All are invited to become a member and serve Christ’s family.
The Lord's Diner has two locations in Wichita. An evening meal is served to those in need 365 days a year. Our assigned night is the fourth Thursday of the month for the Downtown location and the fourth Monday of the month for the Hillside location. A current Food Handler’s Permit is required in order to volunteer at the Lord’s Diner. Volunteers are needed to help prepare meals, serve meals and clean up. Young people age 12 and up may volunteer if working the same shift as their parent.
