NEWSLETTER/UPON THIS ROCKNEWSLETTER/UPON THIS ROCK is distributed to our parish members in September, December, March and June. The deadline for articles to be printed is by the 15th of August (for September), the 15th of November (for December), the 15th of February (for March), and the 15th of May (for June). Any relevant articles that have to do with the parish or school will be published. No advertisements.
PRAYER LINEJoin volunteers by telephone who pray for the needs of persons who are ill, grieving, or suffering in any way.
SIGN LANGUAGE INTERPRETERSThe 10:00am Mass on Sunday is interpreted for our deaf and hard of hearing parishioners. The front two pews on the north side of the church are reserved for those needing this service. Volunteers to sign for Mass or church functions are needed.
A BETTER CHOICEA Better Choice is a a Catholic Crisis Pregnancy Center that helps young women who are facing the possibility of an unexpected pregnancy offering free pregnancy tests, crisis phone counseling, sonograms, information and benevolence assistance. To some of the 260 young women who come to ABC each month our voice is the only time they hear a message of unconditional love and support. Volunteering can be through direct contact with the young women we help or in other areas. There is plenty of God’s work to be done. Help is also needed with scrapbooking events, paper product drives, baby showers, pro-life garage sales, cabinet building, lawn mowing or maintaining the flowers in the prayer garden. If I haven’t mentioned something that interests you, please tell me your ideas. You let us know how often and when you can help. Maybe it’s weekly, monthly or once in a blue moon. That’s OK! We love our volunteers.
MEALS FOR FAMILIESMeals for Families prepares and delivers meals to families when needed… to welcome newborns, when there is someone sick in the family, when experiencing personal or family difficulties, or when in need of assistance with meals.

ST. VINCENT DE PAUL SOCIETY
St. Vincent DePaul Society is a silent work of love where men and women seek their personal holiness by works of charity. SVDPS offers tangible assistance to parishioners and families both in and out of the parish boundaries on a person-to-person basis. This aid may take the form of intervention, consultation or often through direct dollar or in-kind service. The society meets twice a month. All are invited to become a member and serve Christ’s family.
