Parish Religious Education Program (P.R.E.P.)
St. Peter the Apostle Parish Religious Education Program ( PREP) supports parents and guardians with children enrolled in public schools in their task of forming children into disciples of Jesus Christ. We endeavor to do so by providing quality weekly religious education for grades K-8th on Sunday mornings from 9:00AM-9:50AM in the school and for grades 9th-12th on Sunday mornings from 11:00AM- Noon in Dominic Hall.. During these sessions trained catechists strive to form in each child or teen
- a reverence of God and His Church
- the message and life of Jesus
- the importance of a fully initiated Sacramental life
- the value of stewardship to parish and the broader community
- an appreciation for the life of the Saints
- the dignity of each human person
- respect for our earth and awareness of global issues
- the duty to practice the Catholic faith in our daily lives.
A calendar and registration form for the 2012-2013 PREP Session is located under the Document section of this page.
During the summer months registration paperwork and fees can be dropped off in the gathering space in church or left at the parish office.
If a student is also requesting a Sacrament this session the registration form for that particular sacrament must also be submitted to the Director. These forms are posted under Documents on this page. There is no additional fees charged to the active stewards of our parish for any materials used during sacramental formation.
