The Faces of Catechesis

For the pastoral activity of the Church, the cooperation of a great many people is needed, so that communities as well as individuals may advance to full maturity in the Catholic Faith. This cooperation is provided by those who devote themselves to catechesis. Enlightened by God’s Word and the teachings of the Church, catechists impart to others an invitiation to truly live as Catholic Christians in the world today. On Sunday, September 18, 2011 all of the churches in the United States will celebrate Catechetical Sunday by recognizing and praying for these faithful stewards.
At St. Peter the Apostle, we are truly blessed by the work of many wonderful catechists in our school and religious education programs. Here are some of the faces of catechesis in our parish. Please remember to pray daily for all the catechists of St. Peter the Apostle, who give so much of themselves in spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ.
May God who has begun this good work in them bring it to completion! Amen!!
