Alumni

Our grade school alma mater has been around for quite awhile – since 1913 to be exact. And from the beginning, St. Peter has provided quality Catholic education for the children of its parishioners. The school closed and reopened off and on from 1913 to 1925, but thanks to the hard work and dedication of our parents, grandparents and great-grandparents, we can boast that St. Peter has provided continuous Catholic school education for the youth of its parish for the last 84 years! That says a lot about the parish and its commitment to quality catholic education.

Over the years St. Peter School has experienced much growth. It is currently the sixth largest grade school in the Diocese of Wichita. Although we have outgrown our quaint country school and have moved on to bigger and better facilities, we still have a very close knit community, great teachers and staff, wonderful parents, and terrific students. At Fr. Andy Kuykendall’s request, we are spotlighting another group of important people to St. Peter School: our alumni. Currently, a small committee has been formed to try to reach out to the alumni of St. Peter School and form an Alumni Association. The goal of this committee is to connect with as many alumni as possible to inform them of what is happening with their grade school alma mater and provide opportunities for their participation in the life of the school. This association will also host events, such as reunions, to allow alumni a chance to get together and reconnect with old classmates.

You may contact the alumni committee by e-mail using the address This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. . Keeping the committee informed of contact information such as a new address, telephone number, e-mail address, or change of name is very important to the success of our Alumni Association. It is our hope that you will enjoy this newsletter and those to come. As graduates, you all are an important piece of St. Peter’s past and you should be celebrated as the school looks to its future. God bless you all! St. Peter the Apostle, pray for us!
